This time it is not the catwalks of Milan, New York or Paris that top models like Anja Rubik, Sasha Pivovarova, Caroline Trentini and Frida Gustavsson walk on being admired by an army of photographers at their feet. No press, no publishers, no stylists… not even Orlando Pita, the hairdresser that perfects the looks of the international designers, is there. Had it not been for the anguish caused by her illness and never having had the privilege of living in the time of designers such as Brian Atwood, Nicholas Kirkwood, Camilla Skovgaard, Rupert Sanderson and Giuseppe Zanotti, among others, the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, never would have thought to exclaim her famous phrase “Feet, why do I need them if I have wings to fly”.
