The Peter Pilotto spring-summer collection for 2014 is making its mark. It’s difficult to define in a single word but what we can say is that it’s brimming with contradictions.
The colours chosen by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos range from gentle mint green, turquoise and aquamarine combined with white to the subtle stridency of purple, orange and yellow, as well as classic white, black and grey.
Its ode to the hourglass figure in dresses and skirts alludes to the female form, as well as its use of embroidery and lace combined with frills, metallic sparkles and geometric prints.
Pilotto and De Vos are also to be congratulated as they were recently awarded the BFC/Vogue Fashion Fund 2014, given every year by the British Fashion Council.
