Yesterday the long-awaited opening of Santa Eulalia’s new space took place. After two years of renovation Santa Eulalia reopened the doors of its original location on Passeig de Gracia 93. This much anticipated event was attended by and Sandra Dominguez at the start of this new phase.
Jordi Hereu, Mayor of Barcelona, and Francesc Xavier Mena, Catalan Minister, led the visit. Accompanied by Luis Sans and Sandra Domínguez they took a tour of the three floors of the new building along with other representatives of the public administration and major institutions of the city as well as representatives of Barcelona’s society and friends of the store.
During the visit, William Sofield explained how past and present had merged to succeed in expressing the real essence of Santa Eulalia. The tour culminated with a visit of the exposition Santa Eulalia 1843-2011, 168 years of history, an exciting immersion in the history of the store.
