Style on the street…

This time it is not the catwalks of Milan, New York or Paris that top models like Anja Rubik, Sasha Pivovarova, Caroline Trentini and Frida Gustavsson walk on being admired by an army of photographers at their feet. No press, no publishers, no stylists… not even Orlando Pita, the hairdresser that perfects the looks of the international designers, is there. There are neither makeup artists nor the usual entourage organizing the fashion shows… This time the runway is very different.

Just for one day, Passeig de Gracia in Barcelona is the protagonist during 24 hours of maximum individual expression where everything is intensified to create the most realistic outfit. And if you don’t come and see…

The street is in the same league as other symbolic streets such as the Avenue Montaigne in Paris, the Bond Street of London’s elite Mayfair district or the endless Omotesando Avenue in Tokyo. On these “exclusive catwalks” we find the most original and daring looks, the fruit of one’s personal imagination. Each city has its own style which is reflected in how the inhabitants dress.

Nina Ricci, Balenciaga, Camilla Skovgaard, Celine, Proenza Schouler, Thakoon, Prabal Gurung and Nicholas Kirkwood among others, are the ingredients that just like in a pastry recipe adapt to each other without taking a backseat. Each one with their own power of speech, their own magic.

Me ha encantado la idea y la forma tan original en que habéis organizado esta genial pasarela. Felicidades a tod@s. Ojalá algún día entre los ingredientes de vuestra sabrosísima receta se encuentre Andra Cora y forme parte de esa magia que rodea todos vuestros “platos”. Mil besos y sonrisas.
